As it's Father's Day today, I thought I'd keep today's blog very short.
Apologies if you thought by today's heading I was going to go into some crazy coaching session.
I've been in touch with a couple Cornish footballers this week, one from the past and the other a current player, but both for my forthcoming CORNISH SOCCER magazine.
It always makes me laugh when the first day fixtures are released because there's consistently a usual few little moans about the distance having to travel in August when the roads are packed with holiday makers!

There was an interesting debate going on yesterday on Twitter around a couple points such as ambition and our Cornish clubs in the Western League.
With it such a lovely afternoon yesterday I thought I'd take the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather and stroll over and have a look at the Walking Football League kicking off for their new season and being sponsored appropriately by the Age UK. After all it was only a five minute walk for me.
Every day now there are messages going out on the various social media platforms regarding new player signings, club ground improvements, pre-season friendlies and those sort of announcements but I was sorry to read one in particular yesterday.
Pure coincidence but after yesterday remarking about all the managerial changes that have gone on already this summer, today up should pop a reminder on my phone for the front page of my CORNISH SOCCER magazine from six years ago!
