It’s the geography!

It always makes me laugh when the first day fixtures are released because there's consistently a usual few little moans about the distance having to travel in August when the roads are packed with holiday makers!

It's not the clubs themselves. In fact I wonder if it's anyone closely attached or connected to a club at all.

The clubs are keen, the players are keen and let's face it the further up the pyramid system you go, travelling is inevitable and don't forget - you're in with the big boys now!

For the record the Western League starts Saturday July 30th and the SWPL begins with a Friday night fixture in each division a week later on August 5th
